HeatGuard – Remote monitoring for commercial boiler systems
HeatGuard is a plug-and-play remote monitoring system designed for commercial and hire boiler installations.
It provides real-time visibility of boiler status, temperatures, pressures and overall system health through a secure online dashboard, allowing engineers and operators to monitor sites remotely and respond quickly to faults or issues.
Each system is supplied pre-configured and assigned to the customer before delivery, so once installed and powered on it appears immediately in the dashboard.
Boiler status
System health
Temperatures & pressures
Monitors individual boiler run, fault and enable states, giving clear visibility of which boilers are operating, on standby or in fault.
Tracks flow and return temperatures and system pressures to help identify performance issues, abnormal conditions or developing faults.
Provides an overall view of plant condition and operating status, with data available live and historically through the online dashboard.
Installation and setup
HeatGuard is designed to be straightforward to install by a competent engineer.
Most connections are plug-in sensors and CAT6 leads supplied with the system. Boiler modules are wired to the boiler run, fault and enable terminals, and the main unit is powered from a local supply.
Each system is pre-configured and assigned to the customer before delivery. Once installed and powered on, the unit connects automatically and appears immediately in the online dashboard with no on-site configuration required.
Heat metering (optional)
HeatGuard does not require a heat meter to operate.
The system works fully without heat metering, providing live monitoring of boiler status, flow and return temperatures, pressures and overall system health as standard.
Where heat metering is required, HeatGuard can read pulse outputs from compatible external heat meters. The heat meter itself is not supplied by HeatGuard and is installed separately.
Heat metering can be enabled at the time of installation or added later if site requirements change.
Power, battery and connectivity
HeatGuard is powered from a local mains supply and includes a built-in battery backup.
In the event of a power failure, the system continues to operate on battery power, maintaining connectivity and reporting its GPS location until mains power is restored. Boiler fault relays do not operate while running on battery.
The system connects securely to the online dashboard using a mobile data connection, allowing reliable operation without reliance on site networks.
Important notes
HeatGuard does not supply heat meters, which are installed separately if required. The system monitors pulse outputs from compatible meters but does not provide billing or metering for compliance purposes.
Boilers cannot be remotely reset, and any physical wiring to boiler terminals must be carried out by a competent engineer.
